Excavator Category 1 

According to the different size, excavators can be divided into large excavators, medium-sized excavators and small excavators. The classification of large, medium and small excavators is divided according to tonnage, generally under 20 tons belong to small excavators, between 20 tons and 30 tons belong to medium excavators, and more than 30 tons belong to the category of large excavators. The size difference of excavators is equivalent to their respective fuel consumption differences.

Excavator Category 2

According to the driving mode, there are two kinds of internal combustion engine driven excavator and electric driven excavator. Electric driven excavators are mainly used in high-altitude hypoxia and underground mines and other flammable and explosive places, and the mobility of excavators driven by internal combustion engines is poor.

Excavator classification 3

According to the different ways of walking, excavators can be divided into crawler excavators and wheeled excavators. Crawler excavator is widely used, can work in mines or poor working conditions in places, off-road ability is strong, but the mobility deviation, the price is higher than the wheel; Wheeled excavators have small investment and fast action speed, but the scope of use is narrow, mostly based on road administration or urban projects, and the climbing ability is poor.

According to the different transmission methods, excavators can be divided into hydraulic excavators and mechanical excavators. Hydraulic excavator works by hydraulic cylinder, is a kind of multi-functional machinery, is widely used in transportation, mining and other mechanical construction, quality and quantity, in improving labor productivity plays a significant role; Mechanical excavators rely on steel wire ropes and gears, running wheels, is to use buckets to dig above or below the surface of the material, and load into transport vehicles or unload to the storage yard, excavating materials are mainly soil, coal, sand and soil and rock after pre-loosening.

According to the bucket, excavators can be divided into shovel excavators and backhoe excavators. Shovel excavators are mostly used to dig materials above the surface, backhoe excavators are mostly used to dig materials below the surface, and the bucket of shovel excavators is larger than that of backhoe excavators with the same equivalent.
